Borinda lushuiensis Yunnan4

This is Borinda lushuiensis syn: (Borinda edulis) syn: Fargesia edulis. A very recently introduced bamboo that has proved itself so far as being well behaved whilst producing tall and thick culms with thin walls.

The oldest plant so far in this country is in Carwinion Gardens, Cornwall which has grown to over 10 metres at 5cm+ diameter stems, striking powder blue when new.

If you wish to purchase this bamboo we suggest you plant it in a sheltered, mild position as the winter of 2010/11 caused significant damage to exposed plants.

Stock available Autumn 2011
