Borinda papyrifera CS1046

Borinda papyrifera CS1046

Undoubtably the most exciting of the newly introduced Borindas.

This non-invasive clumping bamboo has ice blue stems that reach large proportions in both height and girth.
Typically reaching over 5 metres with stem diameters of over 30mm. Very strong upright growth as the stems are nearly soild and ideal for producing garden canes and craft work.

The plants offered here are the Chris Stapleton collection CS1046.

The pictures shown are of a clump that we have growing in our bamboo garden. We thin out the stems to favour the larger stems and remove the lower branches.
Should you wish to use this plant for screening then do not thin out so much and leave the lower branches on. It is possible to have a plant 5 metres tall grown from a 10 litre pot in 3 growing seasons.
Very rare in cultivation with limited stock available as at March 2010
