 | Chusquea culeou From the Chilean mountains. Tall, with thick solid culms providing an open, clumping habit. Typical spread is 2-5ft. In maritime situations it is very hardy and very wind resistant. Large plants are fairly difficult to propagate and established plants should never be moved. Creamy white sheaths stand out on bright olive green new culms which softens to a yellowy brown. Drought resistant. Good for screening and hedging. Select a free draining site for planting.
