Fargesia angustissima

A delicate and tall bamboo with narrow leaves. It will grow up to 4 metres with lovely arching culms. New culms emerge coloured purple with a white powdery bloom.

Although this is a fairly recent introduction to Europe from the United States, Mike Brisbane estimates that it is hardy down to -15C.

Young plants should be grown in a sheltered position until established.
