	Phyllostachys flexuosa Knee bending bamboo A graceful bamboo with an arching habit, its leaves hover in mid-air like brushstrokes. Its culms bend strongly at each node alternately, hence its botanic name. The branches and leaves have an airy feel and lend grace and charm without casting heavy shade. The culms can turn blackish in the sun with age. Looks good as a solitary specimen.
