	Phyllostachys glauca This bamboo is native to the northern regions of China. This bamboo can grow in hilly areas, plains and flood lands. It can tolerate dry conditions and a slightly alkaline soil. At sheath fall the young culm has a bluish cast. The culms develop spots with age.
