	Phyllostachys heteroclada - Water bamboo Water bamboo Also known as Phyllostachys purpurata, the rhizome and root system of this bamboo have air channels so it can grow in very wet conditions. Shoots are different form others in the genus, having a flame-like form, tinged with cream and pink colours. Use in waterlogged areas.
