Phyllostachys nuda 'Localis'

An open growing bamboo with culms which have zig-zag distortions near the base. The lower internodes boast plentiful dark purple-brown spots by the end of the first season and as they age the colours tend to blend together.
This bamboo is a speedy developer and tolerates extreme cold.
Very effective for screening.
