Phyllostachys rubromarginata

A clump-forming tall and erect bamboo. The green culms turn to grey, yellow-grey, yellow-orange in the sun. A great bamboo for screening and it tolerates windy sites. It does well in shade. Once established, it grows densely and produces lots of tightly grouped culms. This is a big grower and a fast performer i.e. it establishes itself very quickly. Average spread is about 4ft.
