	Pleioblastus shibuyanus Tsuboi An ornamental compact , brightly variegated bamboo from Japan. The dark green leaves have broad bands of creamy-white lines, and possess an ability to always look fresh. Culms are fine and erect. Although vigorous in growth it can easily be trained to stay in a tight clump. This bamboo is currently in flower as at 12th August 2009. We shall not be sending out any plants for the time being as we are unsure whether or not they will recover from this flowering.
