Thamnocalamus crassinodus GosainkundThamnocalamus crassinodus Gosainkund
This bamboo gets its name from a sacred lake near its natural habitat in the Langtang area in Nepal. The lake is said to have been made by Lord Siva. Compared to the other forms listed, it has slightly larger leaves with a more open growing habit. It displays a fetching delicacy of appearance and is a must have bamboo.

Thamnocalamus crassinodus 'Lang Tang'Thamnocalamus crassinodus 'Lang Tang'
Lang Tang will grow to about 4 meters tall which is a bit less than other Thamnocalamus in this listing. It tends to grow in a V formation which can make it look stocky. The leaves are quite dainty.

Thamnocalamus crassinodus 'Merlyn'Thamnocalamus crassinodus 'Merlyn'
A very upright form of the species and quick to reach full height. This bamboo has culms and branches that start green but slowly turn yellow-green with age. It is a leafy plant and an interesting one when mature because the frothing foliage is above head height giving a mushroom effect.

Thamnocalamus spathiflorusThamnocalamus spathiflorus
A small leaved clumping bamboo which likes sun/semi-shade. Gracefully arching culms change from green to reddish-purple in sunlight. New culms emerge from red-tinted sheaths. Older culms can have pink to red shading on top of the yellow-green culms.

Thamnocalamus spathiflorus NepalensisThamnocalamus spathiflorus Nepalensis
Thamnocalamus spathiflorus is a common bamboo of central and western Nepal usually found between 2800 metres and 3500 metres growing on steep slopes.
