Lang Tang will grow to about 4 meters tall which is a bit less than other Thamnocalamus in this listing. It tends to grow in a V formation which can make it look stocky. The leaves are quite dainty.

The severe winter of 2010/11 showed Lang Tang to be arguably the hardiest of the Thamnocalamus, with only minor frost damage here at Jungle Giants.
