	Thamnocalamus crassinodus 'Merlyn' A very upright form of the species and quick to reach full height. This bamboo has culms and branches that start green but slowly turn yellow-green with age. It is a leafy plant and an interesting one when mature because the frothing foliage is above head height giving a mushroom effect. Named after Merlyn Edwards who introduced this bamboo to Britain.
