	X Hibanobambusa tranquillans 'Shiroshima' A reliable variegated form of the species. The wide cream linear markings on large pointy leaves and a full lusty bushiness gives this bamboo attention grabbing assertiveness. The characteristic sulcus of the Phyllostachys and the leaf size of the Sasa make this a curiosity plant as well as a fine specimen. Variegation colors persist throughout the year. For variegation this plant has top marks and probably the finest bamboo in a variegated form. The photo in the middle shows Shiroshima auricle bristles.
